Letter to families of Supported Living tenants
6th April 2020
Dear Family of Supported Living Tenant
COVID-19 (Coronavirus) – FOLLOW UP COMMUNICATION
Following on from our initial correspondence regarding the ongoing Coronavirus (COVID-19) public health emergency, I would like to update you on our current position. Triangle are continuing to take all steps required to ensure emergency plans are in place.
We would like to request that in the health interests of all our service users and support staff, you refrain from visiting our Supported Living Services at present and adhere to the Government Coronavirus (COVID-19) guidelines on ‘what you need to do’ to help reduce the spread of the virus:
Stay at home
- Only go outside for food, health reasons or work (but only if you cannot work from home).
- If you go out, stay 2 metres (6ft) away from other people at all times.
- Wash your hands as soon as you get home.
- Do not meet or visit others, even friends or family.
Remember, you can spread the virus even if you don’t have symptoms.
We understand that if you are a primary carer for one of our service users then the provision of their care and support in their own home remains of high priority. If this applies to you, please continue to practice good hygiene practices and try to limit visits to essential where possible. Keep visiting numbers to a minimum – one adult visitor. Do not visit if you are unwell yourself.
Together we can help shield our vulnerable people and protect our staff.
We appreciate that being separated from your loved ones may be particularly difficult for you at this time but please be assured that we are here to help in any way that we can. For many families and service users, visits are essential and important to their overall well-being. If we can assist with any electronic communication methods such as FaceTime, Skype etc, please contact our service managers or staff who will be happy to help.
Thank you again for your co-operation in this matter. We will continue to update you as the situation evolves.
Yours sincerely
Denise Magill
Director of Support Services
